Blog EntryA Champions credentials. Your request.Apr 21, '08 1:53 AM
for everyone
Four ways that a person who is not a pro tennis player in an actual tournament gets in to the area where the players relax and prepare for matches.  1.  Be a former Champion of the tournament.  2.  Be a guest of a player playing or guest of a former champion.  3.  Coach a player.  4. Tournament guest VIP.

I really respect that a player playing has achieved the designation of worlds top level.  Certainly such a player is special and should be treated as such.

As a Pastor and a friend working with numerous players, I really am so thankful to God for that opportunity to help.  God also allows a Pastor to be respected and assisted.

Please contact me if you are a player, former champion or an administrator would like to assist in any way for the French, Queens, Wimbledon, US, Hopman Cup, Sydney and Australian.

Blog EntryFace to face - Australian OpenJan 24, '08 9:53 PM
for everyone

I come to tournaments with a set plan and this is based upon extensive prayer weeks before I arrive.  I really felt that this Australian Open was to be one of face to face 'relationship building' with the players.  As I face the close of the two and half weeks here, it did turn out exactly that way.

I have few materials to give out but what I did have to give was my own life to others.  What I mean by that is that I gave up my family time and income to give what I have to the players.

I must say it is a strange feeling for me to go from table to table, sitting down and talking to players.  Sometimes four tables in the same room all at the same time, spending ten or fifteen minutes at one table and then moving to the next.  What I love to do is talk about a persons faith and for myself it is Christ centered.  I sometime wonder why I can stay focused on faith in a conversation and the only explanation I have is that God's unseen hand has settled over that table.  It's not about tennis, it's about faith!

Having been in the tennis industry for almost forty years it is easy for me to talk on tennis, but for what ever reason I can talk about faith in Christ.  It just works better to have that "focus".
